It’s been one year to the date that Barack Obama was sworn into office as
the 44th president of the United States. In a year our new president has
dealt with fixing a broken economy, pushing for healthcare reform, and
rebuilding ties within the international community.
At times I have questioned some of his decisions, but I I feel he honestly
cares for the general welfare of the American people. I see this through
his actions, hear it in his words, and have watched him put forth tireless
effort to improve our Democracy.
I believed in him a year ago, and today… I still believe.

Friends and Family,
I recently completed a design for the grassroots organization Public Option Please. They are keeping the democratic members of congress honest and focused on the idea of a public option.
There are 6 grand winners that were picked out of 30 finalists, and I need your votes for my design (I’d dearly appreciate it!). Saturday is the deadline, so I need them a.s.a.p.

Friends,
I am happy to announce the release of my latest poster print geared at bringing attention to the National Health Care debate currently occurring in this country. As an artist who has gone through the strain of paying high premiums and many periods of not being able to afford health insurance, I feel particularly passionate about this issue.
I have watched recently in the last year as more than one family member of mine has been denied life saving treatments due to a tired system that focuses more on the bottom line, and less on human life. Even the best insurance offered provides little protection to high premium paying customers…namely all of us.
I believe that EVERYONE DESERVES WELLNESS. Nationalizing health care is an idea that has been proven to work worldwide, it will make a difference in the lives of those you love, and it can work for America.

“The Hopeful Hearts Club is a painting that reflects the essence of hope that the campaign has inspired in millions of Americans over the past 2 years. The 1967 Beatles Sgt. Pepper album manifested during a time of social, economic, and worldwide change. I feel that we are in another moment where the choices we make are having a profound effect on our lives, and the world at large.
As with the original Sgt. Pepper album, I have taken careful consideration of individual placement, individuals accomplishments, and their relationship to the Obama campaign and this time of change. ” -Michael Cuffe
